1. Our Audience & Children’s Privacy

This App is intended solely for use by parents, guardians, and adults (18+).

While BedtimeStoryCraft generates customized stories intended for children, the App itself is not targeted at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal identifiable information directly from anyone under the age of 13. All accounts, subscriptions, and story generation inputs must be managed by an adult. The "Child's Name" and "Age" entered into the App are provided by the adult user and used strictly for the purpose of generating personalized story content.

2. Information We Collect

To provide and improve our services, we collect the following types of information:

• Account Information: When you create an account, we collect your email address and password securely via Google Firebase Authentication. If you choose to use Google Sign-In, we receive your basic profile information (such as your name and email address) associated with that account.
• Locally Stored Data: The "Child's Name" and "Age" you enter are stored locally on your device (using Android DataStore) for your convenience, so you do not have to re-enter them for every story.
• Story Generation Data: When you tap "Generate," your inputs (name, age, and selected theme) are sent securely to our backend servers and processed by third-party Artificial Intelligence (AI) services to create the text and images.
• Published & Shared Content: If you use the "Share Story" feature, the generated story text, title, and images are saved on our secure servers to create a shareable web link (URL) for your family and friends.
• Usage & Subscription Data: We track the number of free and premium stories you generate using Google Cloud Firestore. This allows us to enforce free-tier limits and manage premium subscriptions.
• Device Region Data: We access your device's general locale and country setting (e.g., "India" or "United States") to hyper-localize the AI stories with culturally appropriate character names. We do not track or store your precise GPS location.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information to:

• Operate, maintain, and provide the features of the App.
• Generate highly personalized, AI-driven bedtime stories and illustrations.
• Process secure transactions and manage your Google Play subscription.
• Host and generate shareable links for your stories when requested.
• Provide customer support and respond to your inquiries.

4. Third-Party Services

We use trusted third-party service providers to power our App. These providers have their own Privacy Policies and handle data securely:

• Google Play Services & Google Play Billing: Used for core app functionality and securely processing subscription payments. (Brand Reflex does not see, collect, or store your credit card information).
• Google Firebase (Auth & Firestore): Used for secure user authentication and cloud syncing of your usage/subscription status.
• AI Providers (Google Gemini & Fal.ai): We use external AI APIs to generate text and images. Your prompts are processed securely for the sole purpose of generation and are not used by these providers to train public AI models.

5. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data. BedtimeStoryCraft utilizes a "Thin Client" architecture, meaning all heavy processing and API communications happen on our secure backend servers rather than on your device. We use HTTPS/SSL encryption for all data transmitted between your device and our servers.

6. Data Retention and Deletion

You have the right to control your data and request deletion at any time:

• Local Device Data: You can delete the Child's Name and Age by clearing the App's data in your Android device settings or by uninstalling the App.
• Account & Cloud Data Deletion: To permanently delete your Firebase account, subscription tracking data, and any stories saved to our servers, please contact us from the email address associated with your account. We will process your deletion request within 14 days.

7. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We reserve the right to update this Privacy Policy at any time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the updated Privacy Policy on this page and revising the "Effective Date" at the top.
